I was startled and saddened by the news of this morning, as I write this, that Marie Severin has died. Bagpipes and eulogies all day in the background for John McCain’s funeral, but my mind was filled with memories of Marie, 89, who had been sick, a stroke victim in hospice; and of her brother John
